Much has been written on the subject and everyone even remotely
interested in the STOCK MARKET knows about Warren Buffet and
Peter Lynch.
They are great people ..............already successful and ..........billionares
For those who do not know and are only now getting hooked on to the bandwagon,
let me say that Mr. Warren Buffet had started his investment journey via
HATHAWAY CORPORATION and is currently supposed to be amongst the
RICHEST PERSONS IN THE WORLD - next only to Bill Gates of MICROSOFT fame.
If you are new to it, and want to MAKE MONEY ON THE STOCK MARKET
- follow these simplest of techniques which I list here :
( Nothing New, as I said at the start; i'm only repeating for newcomers' benefit) :-
Rule 1. Are you here for long term ?
Forget short term investing - it may or MAY NOT earn you profits।
BUT thinking LONG TERM will catapult you into a new economic zone ;that is
if you WANT TO ENTER THE DOMAIN OF THE SUPER RICH !!
Rule 2. Invest only in CURRENT INDUSTRY LEADERS , and that too from
businesses that you understand
One of the simplest hints -
" People will always EAT, wear CLOTHES and drive CARS.
.............................Of course, you can expand on that!!
Rule 3. Do not MARRY A STOCK. Nor should you chase it like boys would
a damesel. Observe the "current price range' and try to BUY CHEAP.
Buying at a low price & then selling at a HIGH is what PROFIT is all about.
Easier said than done BUT then, that's the way it works!!
KEEP LOOKING !! AND, if you are from INDIA, you can contact
me for "advice" .

Banking on Your Bank ? ? Read This Carefully >>>>>>
This morning, went to my ATM for some money.
As usual, checked my "balance" - since I am now retired (jobless, if you please!) -
and found that a very strange thing had occurred :-
My Bank, which proudly advertises its "Convenience of Anywhere Banking" was
charging me a cool 200 I.Rs.(5 $ U.S approx.) by a simple trick of DEFERRING
it's own responsibility of carrying out my request for "transferring money from my
FIRST account to the OTHER account held in another branch of their bank.
As it is , the need to make this transfer had arisen BECAUSE another very reputed
INTERNATIONAL BANK could not agree to maintaining my previous instruction
relating to LOAN - ECS. They insisted that they would now source their payment
from my OTHER account, notwithstanding the fact that , for eleven months, money
was being received (their INSTALMENT = I.Rs.4618) from my FIRST account at
the abovesaid "my bank"
This , they insisted, was in accordance with their PROCEDURES and there would 1!
be a longwinded process involved in acceding to my request.
And then, they had "absolutely valid" reasons for deferring my ECS by 48 hours to
the specific period when my OTHER account would fall short of balance for about
a day. MIND YOU, shortage in the OTHER account was solely because "my bank"
would not TRANSFER MY MONEY TO ME unless their PROCEDURES were 2!!
duly honoured.
Both the banks were in possession of my money, and between them, they contrived
to "charge" me a neat sum for their "services" - ones which I had neither asked for /
nor expected.

ALL BANKS are collectively guilty of one grave misdoing.
The credit card statements invariably mention a "Last Day of Payment" with the onus
of delay on the customer. I'm sure most of my friends out there have experienced this
ONE TRICK :
If the cheque is dropped on the "Last Day" as specified, the credit in statement shows
up two/three days later & is duly accompanied by a "Late Fee + Taxes". Granted that
these are reversed on request BUT what about the clients who fail to notice / request
for reversal ?
With all their collective EXPERTISE in CUSTOMER SERVICE and PROCEDURES 3!!!
OF BANKING, why do they simply not advance the "Last Date of Payment" to cover
their requirement of time ( CLEARING of Cheques is what they call it ! ) ???
It is really SIMPLE, guys - they will then lose out on a Tidy Sum that they are collecting
under the garb of "Late Fees" and "Service Charges" - the amount involved runs into
MILLIONS whether you see it as U.S. $s or any other currency.
Will any banker, whosoever happens to read this blog, kindly explain this to me and the
BLOGGERS' COMMUNITY at large ???

Is There Actually Money On The Net ?
Having never used the Internet till I retired from my regular JOB in a hotel,
I was intrigued by an article in our daily newspaper about availability of
"Jobs on the Internet".
I went immediately to my nearest Internet Cafe, created an e-mail I.D. and
started to "Google search" for my Pot of Gold - I was confident of my ability
with words and expected that the offers will come pouring-in faster than the
"water in our taps".
To the uninitiated Europeans & Americans, including Canadians ( My cousin
"Born Canadian", please NOTE !!) , allow me to explain that - in most of India,
the availability of Electricity and Water is not to be taken for granted ; there
are actually timings for the supply, except in the very V.I.P. / Exceptionally
Lucky (only on certain days) areas/localities.
We get water for two hours early in the morning and then some more in the
evening. Ditto for electricity , except that it is available for around 20-21 hrs.
OR LESS in 7-8-9 shifts as per the local Engineer's whims & fancies. Even this
BLOG could've been interrupted by the ever-omnipresent Electricity Failure
but for our U.P.S.
I have digressed, haven't I ?
Back to my "search for the HOT & Lucrative INTERNET JOBS :
I received a torrent of mails from all over the world. They "promised me the Moon"
Some promised even more AND said it was "FREE". But, no sooner had I signed up,
they offered Subsidiary Products at prices that an Indian would find Exorbitant -
After all, 1 U.S. $ is still hovering at around 40/41 Indian Rupees. And what people
in America / Europe see as " a couple of Bucks" means " a cool 100 Bucks" for their
Indian cousins / counterparts.
What's more, even after spending the required 3$.U.S., one can not communicate
with the offerer because of "communication gap" - I am still trying to grapple with
terms like SMTP or POP3 - the computer simply refuses to forward my message
AND the e-mail provider's server report lands in my mail-box :
(given up after 5 tries) / (does not like recepient) / (.......................)
I can not even remember all the messages that I get.
BUT, at least, I have managed to book 5 email I.D.s in as many days before luckily
being introduced to BLOGSPOT.
So, now here I am !! With a request to all you decent folks out there, to please help
me with whatever NEW INFORMATION that you can provide. Except that they're
NOT
